As many of you know, the figure skating website icenetwork closed at the end of June, with most of what it covered migrating to a number of sites on NBC platforms.

And, after two years of writing for Ice Network, some of my coverage is migrating to NBC as well.

I am grateful to NBC for providing me this outlet for stories about the sport and feel lucky to become an intermittent colleague of the indefatigable Nick Zaccardi, whose exhaustive coverage is the backbone of NBC’s written Olympic content.

My first story for @NBCSports @NBCOlympicTalk is a quick look at Yevgenia Medvedeva making her competitive debut under her new coaching team, headed by Brian Orser, today at the Autumn Classic International Challenger Series event in Oakville, Ont.

Here is the link to that story:

I will have a much longer look at Medvedeva’s transition to new coaches and life in Canada coming later.

As in the past with Ice Network, I will also post links to the stories - as well as do other coverage - here on Globetrotting.

Onward.
